Objective: To be attentive and work on quick decision making. Step by step instructions
  1. Have the class stand in a circle. Teacher stands in the center and randomly points to someone in the circle and makes one of the following statements:
Bibbity bibbity bop Bop Make like an elephant 1, 2, 3 Make like a mosquito 1, 2, 3
  1. The person who is pointed to must respond in the following specific ways before the statement is finished. So, response 1 corresponds to statement 1, response 2 corresponds to statement 2 and so on, etc.
Bop Say nothing Make an elephant trunk with your arms while the 2 people on either side of you make ears like the elephant Make a mosquito stinger with your hands while the 2 people on either side make the mosquito wings
  1. Therefore, if the educator says Bibbity bibbity bop, the person pointed at should answer with Bop; if the educator says Bop, he/she should not say anything; if the educator says do as an elefant 1, 2, 3, the person should form the elephant's trunk with both arms while 2 people on the side form the elefant's ears; if the educator says do as a mosquito 1, 2, 3, the person should form the mosquito's stinger with both arms while 2 people on the side form the mosquito's wings.
  2. If the person pointed to (or the people who are the elephant ears or mosquito wings) does not say the correct response or do the correct motion before the person in the center is finished speaking, the person on the outside of the circle must go into the center and be the pointer.
  3. The person in the center of the circle must stay there and continue making statements to different people until someone on the outside messes up.
