  1. Each participant reaches into the container/hat, takes out a piece of paper and secretly looks at the type of animal written on it.
  2. The educator then instructs the participants to close their eyes and to find the other members of their animal family.
  3. The participants can only do this by making the sound of the animal on their piece of paper and by listening for other people making the same noise as they are.
  4. No speaking is allowed.
  5. When all the animals have found their equals, the activity is over.
Educator’s note: The teacher should write the names of different types of animals on the small pieces of paper. If they want to divide the group into pairs, then they should write the same animal on two pieces of paper. To divide the group into teams of three people, then there should be three pieces of paper with the same animal, and so on. Fold the papers, put them into the container/hat and mix them up. Tip: Choose animals that make a distinctive sound, such as owls, snakes, cows, dogs, lions, etc.
